Two men at once…
(This post includes unpaid advertising)
... had themselve under the needle of my Longarm “placed” and asked for a facelift: The “Posh Santa” by “Sew Kind of Wonderful”. Every single quilt has a size of 28″ x 38″ and the instructions can be downloaded here: www.sewkindofwonderful.com.
Even with these two gentlemen, I used all my available options for quilting. Both the Q-matic, and the Ruler and the Free Motion Quilting have been used. I started with the face: The Ruler horizontal or. vertically at equal intervals.
For the beards I went with the program “Art&Stitch” size “Curls” designed it with its help and also quilted with Q-matic in the beards of the two Santas. The gaps were filled with Freemotion swirls and Pebbles. The mustaches and lips “came under the Ruler”.
Then the background followed: With the Q-Matic single snowflakes emerged in the corners of Quilts, the remaining space were quilted with the Rulers.
The last step were the caps . Since all three layers, Progress- and back and nonwoven, contract each other slightly when quilting, they made the cap visually outstanding. To enhance this effect, I have quilted with simple lines and swirls.
So I could the gentlemen in time for Christmas “dismiss”.
And of course they also make a good figure from behind!
With these images I wish you all a Merry Christmas! I hope you are are healthy and well and slips well into the New Year! I would be glad, if I could greet you in 2020 as a reader.
