Also, when the New Year a few days old, I hope so, that you are good acceded. And of course I wish you for 2020 all the best, a lot of health and a big helping of luck! And a lot of time for the best hobby of the world – Sewing and Quilting.

Just as the old year ended with me, began the new: with quilts in bright colors. The first quilt of a customer, I want to show you, makes you look forward to the coming summer. It is the Quilt “Dance of the Dragonflies” by JoAnn Hoffmann.

Nicole fixed the individual parts of the dragonflies to the substrate with self-adhesive non-woven fabric. Then I sewed each piece on again with the Longarm.

With a multicolor thread I have quilted the areas between the dragonflies with swirls, flowers and leaves .

TThis is how the quilt left the sewing room:

To make room for the next gem: The “Color Flash” from Beate.

After clamping and stitching the quilts I have stressed the individual blocks with the Ruler, according to the exact wishes of the future owner, more or less . The blocks in the center, a pineapple pattern, were sewn on paper. These were deposited with only two squares inside and outside . ThThe triangular blocks have been optically reinforced with the Ruler.

The rectangles on the edge were a simple cross.

EaEach type of block received a different colored quilting thread. AAnd it came out this “Color Flash” ! Perfect!

AlAll things usually include three…. I have also had a third customer quilt on the Longarm. Since this has gone to a raffle and the result is not yet known, may I show no pictures yet. Only this: He's just “Heavenly”!

With these colors, I want to let you go into the weekend!

Your Ines
